Volunteer

Construction volunteers are a critical part of our mission.

As a volunteer, you will learn new skills, meet new friends, and make a big impact in the life of a family.

Habitat homes are built primarily by volunteers. Whether you are a contractor, a DIYer, or have never picked up a hammer in your life, we need your help. Habitat brings families, community partners and volunteers together to construct affordable, energy-efficient homes that help families build stability, strength and self-reliance.

Volunteer at the Restore to help boost our sales to fund our mission.

The Berkeley Habitat ReStore is open to the public and sales generated from the store supports our local Habitat for Humanity affiliate.

Our inventory includes donated cabinets, appliances, furniture, windows, doors, lighting, tools, and much more.
It’s the perfect place for bargain seekers and DIYers to shop to find great deals for everything from small projects to large home remodeling projects.

We rely on volunteers to manage and run the store.  We need volunteers to sort and price donations, arrange donations on the floor, work the front desk, and other necessary retail tasks.

Become a Family Services Committee Member

In one of these four roles, you will become an integral part of our team and communication with our family services. You will establish a relationship with partner families and assess their satisfaction during post-purchase phase. You might even operates as a liaison between the partner family and the Family Services Manager. Lastly, you will maintain family service department manuals and ensure that all family services policies and procedures are accurate and up-to-date.
